DelThumbs 2.5

DelThumbs is a lightweight utility designed to find and remove Windows thumbnail cache files (such as Thumbs.db and ehthumbs.db) from your folders. By clearing these hidden previews, DelThumbs helps free up space, reduce sync and version-control conflicts, prevent “file in use” errors, and protect your privacy when sharing folders or archives.

Highlights:

• Fast recursive scan of selected folders and drives
• Safe removal that targets only system-generated thumbnail cache files—not your photos or documents
• Optional preview/dry run to see what will be deleted before you commit
• Exclusions and ignore patterns to keep specific locations untouched
• Clear reporting so you know what was found and removed

Ideal for:

• Cleaning up photo, project, or archive directories before sharing or zipping
• Avoiding cloud sync issues caused by hidden Thumbs.db files
• Tidying repositories and network shares where thumbnail caches cause lock or merge problems

Simple, focused, and easy to use, DelThumbs helps keep your folders clean without getting in your way.
